Croatia is a small beautiful country situated along the Adriatic Sea and its hinterland. It is surrounded by Slovenia and Hungary to the north, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to the south and across the sea border with Italy. The land area is 56,542 km2 and the area of the territorial sea is 31,067 km2. Croatia has a population of 4.29 million and the capital is Zagreb.
